Ode to Australia

So I’ve been in this heaps good country they called ‘Strayla’ for 1 year and 9 months. In that time I’ve bungee jumped in Cairns, NYE’d in Surfers, made Byron Bay my home for over a year, bought a car, lived in a car, crashed said car into a kangaroo (RIP Lola), picked rotten grapes for $5 per hour, sat at a desk for $35 per hour, had a metal plate inserted into my ankle, learned to skate, chopped down trees with machetes, stage-managed a fashion show, fallen in love and learnt how to shorten 80% of the English language because pronouncing every syllable is just too much effort dude (lets grab some petty at the servo before we have an acco, aye).

The time has come for me to say adious to the Southern Hemisphere for a while and start a new journey. Oh Australia, how I’ll miss your endless summers, empty pristine beaches, diverese ecosystems and weird and wonderful wildlife. You will always be in my heart and remember its not goodbye, its see you later…
